Why should you select proper rug size for the room?
To define the proper space in your room and to set your room in a proper them, you should select the proper rug size in feet. It is equally important as unifying your furniture in your room. A proper rug size enhances the beauty of your room. Size selection depends on the configuration of the room and area of the room.
How should we use the living room rug size properly?
There are two options we recommend you to select the proper rug size for your living room
Rug setting for smaller rooms
If the room is small, you can use rug size up to 5’x8’ till 6’x9’. For proper alignment of furniture and rug in your room, you should allow two legs of sofa or arm chairs to rest on your rug. If you want to place a coffee table on the rug, you should align in such a way that it should be completely on the rug. It looks beautiful if it is in the centre of rug
Rug Setting for Larger rooms
If the room is large, you can use rug sizes up to 8’x10’ till 9’x 12’. If the room is large you can put entire sofa and on top of the rug or you can put only front legs of the sofa or arm chair on the rug. If you want to put the entire sofa on rug, remember to leave the space of 18’’-24’’ to give an exquisite look to your room.
Rug setting for center of the room
If your current set up features furniture floating in the center of the room, we recommend at least a 9’ x 12’. An equal amount of floor space (between 12" - 18") should be left on all sides if possible. All furniture should sit completely on the rug surface without looking cramped.
How should we use the Dining Room rug size properly?
You can use both rectangular & round rugs for your dining room.
You need to place the rugs in such a way that all the chairs of dining table should rest completely on the rug. The setting should be in such a way that if you pulled out the chair, it should still completely rest on the rug.
Even for round rugs, you will use the same type of setting.
How should we use the Bedroom Rug Size properly?
There are two options we recommend you to select the proper rug size for your bedroom
Option 1- Rug setting if rug is small
Put the bed on halfway of the rug, two legs of the bed should rest on the rug. The rug should not cover the entire floor. The floor should be visible from all the sides. The bed should be placed on rug in such a way that it should cover the rug in halfway both in length and breadth.
Option 2:- Rug setting if rug is large
If the rug is large in size then put the bed on the rug in such a way that it covers three fourth part of the rug. Remember to leave at least 20 inch of space should be left on either side of the bed.
